Project presentation

In Peru, in the village of Marachanca, women farmers are facing the daily impacts of climate change and environmental degradation. Their yields are low and their production quality is poor, preventing them from generating sufficient income for themselves and their families.

Empow’Her’s project aims to support the transition from precarious, environmentally harmful farming practices to organic agriculture, creating sustainable sources of income and greater autonomy for these women. After gaining technical, agronomic, management and leadership skills, 16 women farmers will be able to obtain a group organic certification, making it easier to market and sell their products.
