Project presentation
In France in 2019, women represented 3.6% of the prison population, or approximately 2,500 individuals. Their minority presence in prisons often makes them invisible and results in a critical lack of resources, funding, and support systems dedicated to their reintegration.
To support these women, OGFEB created the Ferme Emmaüs Baudonne (FEB), a social and professional integration project centered around agroecological market gardening. The women participating in the program benefit from comprehensive support that combines collective workshops aimed at encouraging a return to activity, together with individualized assistance tailored to their specific needs, including administrative procedures, access to rights, mobility, and housing support.
The project provides participants with a transitional space between prison and release, helping them relearn daily life skills. Community life on the farm enables them to regain autonomy and self-confidence, recover a sense of privacy, and progressively reconnect with their relatives and social environment.
