Although microfinance institutions have expanded significantly in recent years, the most vulnerable populations—particularly women—still face major barriers to accessing financial services that meet their needs in Morocco.
This project supports 100 women from the Tiddas region in establishing five Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs). Managed entirely by their women members, these groups enable participants to save collectively and access low-interest loans using their shared savings to start or expand income-generating activities.
Alongside the creation of the VSLAs, participants receive training and support to develop and manage sustainable small businesses, strengthening their economic independence and long-term resilience.
