Project presentation

Already supported by the Foundation in 2015, the Marjolaine Prize has been recognizing women leading outstanding initiatives in the agricultural and food sectors every year since 2013.

A new “Mediterranean” category was created that year in connection with COP22, held in 2016 in Marrakech. Four prizes, each worth €4,000, were awarded during a ceremony in October 2016, enabling the winners to further develop their projects while gaining greater visibility.

More broadly, the Marjolaine Prize contributes to recognizing the essential role of women in agriculture and food systems, particularly in relation to the fight against climate change.
