Project presentation
Due to armed conflicts, Colombia is the second country in the world with the highest number of displaced people (7 million people). In the Santa Rosa neighbourhood, south of Bogotá, many rural populations who fled the fighting now have to rebuild their lives and live alongside one another.
To help reintegrate these vulnerable populations, the organisation Projeter Sans Frontières has been developing the “Semons la Confiance Femmes” programme since 2017, which aims to promote urban and peri-urban agriculture.
As part of this initiative, around thirty women farmers trained in organic agriculture will receive support to create an association and develop management skills. Ten additional women will also be supported in setting up an edible forest, helping to ensure food security and autonomy for their families.
