Project presentation
To improve their living conditions, Habitat Cité and its local partner have been training women from the Pantanal informal settlement in Granada for several years in traditional earth construction techniques. This approach enables them, in particular, to build eco-friendly cookstoves that help protect both the environment and their health.
As part of this project, women who have already received training shared their skills with women from other neighbourhoods, enabling them to learn how to build their own earth cookstoves. An exchange of knowledge was also organized between women to share their expertise in creating vegetable gardens and family orchards.
The women also carried out environmental awareness activities within their communities to promote sustainable practices and encourage greater protection of natural resources.
