Project presentation
Since 2015, ACINA has provided personalised social and professional support to women living in informal settlements in Île-de-France, mainly from Roma communities, who often have limited qualifications and face discrimination.
The objective is to help them become independent by stabilising their social and administrative situation and facilitating access to employment, while also changing the way they are perceived by society and by themselves.
Every week, ACINA’s team meets with women to guide and support them in their efforts to access rights and citizenship (housing, healthcare, children’s schooling, etc.), as well as in their job searches. Collective workshops are also organised. Each woman is supported by a volunteer mentor throughout the entire integration process.
