Second selection 2022: 13 new projects supported

Between December 2021 and January 2022, nearly 450 associations responded to the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation's call for projects.

After examination of the projects by the Foundation's team, the Executive Committee held its second meeting of the year. 13 projects that aim at improving the living conditions of women in France and around the world were selected.

Prevention of violence against women and girls: 

• Les Orchidées rouges : Stop gender-based and sexual violence in Côte d’Ivoire: Women and girls protected and free for the well-being of all (Ivory Coast)
• Femmes pour le Dire, Femmes pour Agir : Combating violence against women with disabilities (France)
• La Maison des Femmes de Saint-Denis : “Mon Palier”: shelter for young women victims of violence  (France)
• Association François-Xavier Bagnoud : Curbing gender-based violence and strengthening women and children in informal districts (Namibia)
• Un enfant par la main : Swabhiman (‘self-respect’) project: combating early marriage in Rajasthan (India)
• Centre Primo Lévi : Accompanying exiled women, victims of torture and political violence in their country of origin, towards a possible reconstruction (France)

Education and leadership of women and girls:

• Yara LNC : Improving the social status of disadvantaged rural girls from bush villages in the Zinder region of Niger (Niger)

• Sages-Femmes Sans Frontières : En avant TOUTES (Benin)
• Boxer Inside Club : Les Puncheuses  (France)

• Pupilles de l’éducation publique: Samelyco (France)

Professional insertion and economic rights:

• Friends International :  Vocational training in catering for marginalised women and girls in Siem Reap (Cambodia)
• Les entreprises pour la cité :  « LEVIER » project (France)
• ANAK Aide aux enfants d’Indonésie : Young women’s empowerment programme (Indonesia)
