Project presentation

In Nepal, the association Enfants et Développement (renamed Planète Enfants & Développement in 2016) works to reduce the many forms of violence and discrimination faced by women from the Chepang ethnic community.

On the one hand, the association raises awareness among communities, particularly men and young people, about respecting women’s rights. On the other hand, it improves support services for women who have experienced violence, ensuring they receive better assistance, gain access to essential services (health centres, legal support, access to education), and strengthen their economic empowerment.

The association

Planète Enfants & Développement’s mission is to take a holistic approach to supporting vulnerable children by providing them with the conditions needed for their well-being and development through protection, health, education, integration and family support services; by strengthening their independence and the capacities of local stakeholders; and by denouncing and fighting all forms of discrimination and exploitation against children, particularly child trafficking.

Enfants & Développement and Planète Enfants, two organisations sharing the same values and vision, officially merged on 21 September 2016 to become Planète Enfants & Développement. Their common goal: to increase their impact in protecting and supporting children’s development.
