Projet soutenu Project supported in 2015: Empowering women

Project presentation

In the highly isolated Boeny region, in north-western Madagascar, the population has very limited access to basic services, and women are the first victims of this social and economic exclusion.

Many of them try to develop livelihood activities to improve their families’ daily lives, but they face numerous economic and social barriers.

Through this project supporting the economic and social empowerment of families, ATIA will enable 4,400 of the most vulnerable women to gain sustainable access to financial, social, healthcare and educational services. They will benefit in particular from productive loans, savings services, health insurance schemes and economic training.
