Planète Enfants (which became Planète Enfants & Développement in 2016) works in Nepal to combat the trafficking and sexual exploitation of women and children, two widespread issues in the country.

Through this project, the organization aims to help 50 young women leave prostitution by providing them with a sustainable alternative for their future. They receive vocational training, as well as technical and financial support to start income-generating activities. Equipped with new skills, greater autonomy, and psychological and legal support, these young women become less vulnerable to abuse and are better able to reclaim their place in society.

The association

The mission of Planète Enfants & Développement is to improve the lives of vulnerable children through a holistic approach, providing access to protection, healthcare, education, social and professional integration, and family support. The organization also works to strengthen children’s autonomy and the capacities of local stakeholders while combating all forms of discrimination and exploitation, with a particular focus on human trafficking.

On 21 September 2016, Enfants & Développement and Planète Enfants, two organizations sharing the same values and vision, officially merged to form Planète Enfants & Développement. Their shared goal is to increase their impact in protecting children and supporting their development.
