18 new projects promoting women’s empowerment, supported by the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation

Meeting on May 26, 2021, the Executive Committee of the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation resolved to support 18 new projects aimed at improving the living conditions of women, in France and worldwide, representing a total commitment of €267,000 in 2021.

Women’s Rights and Combating Violence

  • François-Xavier Bagnoud: Curbing gender-based violence in informal settlements (Namibia)
  • En avant toute(s): Support for strengthening the www.commentonsaime.fr chat service — a written listening and support channel for victims of sexist and sexual violence (France)
  • Luoga Béziers: Guitoune (France)
  • BATIK International: Hy Vong (Vietnam)
  • Comité pour la santé des exilés (Comede): Resource center and multidisciplinary support for migrant women living in precarity (France)

Education and Social Action

  • Planète Enfants & Développement: Support for schooling of vulnerable girls in Nepal (Nepal)
  • ATIA: Empowerment of women living in disadvantaged neighborhoods of Jaipur (India)
  • Agir pour la santé des femmes (ADSF): Expansion of ADSF’s mobile teams in Lille (France)
  • Futur au Présent: Support for women in detention to ensure respect for their fundamental rights (Senegal)

Training and Professional Integration

  • EMANIK: Talentos para la Vida – Talents for Life (Peru)
  • GRDR Migration, Citoyenneté, Développement: Les mamas de Grigny (France)
  • L’Académie des Ruches: Kick-off – Women and Diversity (France)

Environmental Protection and Climate Change Action

  • LAAFI: Training rural women in beekeeping and preserving local biodiversity through bee activity (Burkina Faso)
  • Chaussettes Solidaires: Supporting the economic inclusion of women facing precarity through garment production using fabric scraps and recovered socks (France)
  • SOL: Promoting the integration of women from non-agricultural backgrounds into organic farming activities (France)
  • Association Humanitaire Pour l’Afrique (AHPA): Providing support to women farmers in processing surplus tomato harvests into preserves and juice (Benin)
  • D’Antilles et D’Ailleurs: Supporting professional reintegration of women in prostitution through the manufacture of sanitary pads and reusable diapers (Martinique)
  • Envol Vert: Revitalizing and feminizing wheat and honey agricultural sectors while applying agroecological practices (Colombia)
