Project presentation
In San Juan de Lurigancho, a district of Lima Province in Peru, the Campoy community includes a number of adolescents with disabilities, most of whom have Down syndrome, autism or intellectual disabilities. This situation places a heavy burden on families—particularly mothers—who have often made significant sacrifices for their children.

To support the social inclusion and future autonomy of these young people with disabilities, as well as the empowerment of their mothers, the NGO EMANIK provides psychological support and workshops focused on autonomy and self-confidence. In parallel, both the adolescents and their mothers receive vocational training in the baking and pastry-making profession.
