Project presentation

In a context of severe economic vulnerability and long-term distance from the labor market, particularly among low-skilled women with dependent children, Rejoué has been running an innovative work integration program around toy recycling since 2010. In Vitry-sur-Seine, women are supported in accessing employment through practical activities including sorting, cleaning, refurbishing, and selling second-hand toys.

Linked to the recent establishment of an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme for toys, Rejoué aims to strengthen professionalization and diversify the skills offered to employees in integration: logistics, digital skills, online catalog management, etc.

This project seeks to sustainably improve employability, financial autonomy, and self-confidence, while actively contributing to waste reduction.

The association

Founded in 2010, Rejoué is a social integration association specialized in toy reuse. Based in Vitry-sur-Seine, it employs about fifty integration workers each year, supported by a team of 15 permanent staff. Through its recycling activities and three solidarity stores in Île-de-France, it supports people in precarious situations, particularly women, while reducing waste.
