Project presented by Chaussettes Solidaires
In France, many women experiencing precarious situations, often from migrant backgrounds or undergoing professional retraining, face difficulties accessing employment. At the same time, the textile industry generates significant waste that remains insufficiently recovered.
To address these challenges, Chaussettes Solidaires develops the “Mode d’Emploi Recyclé” programme, which offers training in sewing, repair and textile upcycling, combined with support towards professional integration. Participants acquire technical skills, complete internships in workshops, strengthen their confidence and access sustainable employment opportunities while contributing to the circular economy.
Use of the prize:
The prize will enable the programme to welcome more beneficiaries two to three days per week, secure the sewing trainer position, strengthen educational resources and create a marking and embroidery workshop through the purchase of new equipment.
