Project presentation
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Women & Environment program by the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation, French photographer and visual artist Floriane de Lassée undertook an artistic residency with six association-led projects across four countries. Her work, focused on the role of women in society, paid tribute to those who act daily to protect the planet—through sustainable agriculture, access to energy, resource management, or green entrepreneurship.
This photographic series, presented as part of the Photoclimat 2025 Biennale, highlighted women supported by associations such as Gret, CARE France, Mékong Enfants des Rizières, Ishpingo, Projeter Sans Frontières, and Women Engage for a Common Future France (WECF France). Each portrait told the story of these women’s concrete engagement and their central role in the ecological transition.
The exhibition, held from September 12 to October 12, 2025, at Quai de Seine, Place de la Concorde (Madeline side), Place Saint-Sulpice, and Académie du Climat, allowed the public to discover and celebrate the voices of women who are changing the world and inspiring ecological action. This artistic and solidarity-driven initiative strengthened the visibility of their projects and highlighted their impact on an international scale.
