Project presentation

Faced with persistent disparities in educational guidance and achievement between girls and boys—particularly pronounced in rural and underprivileged areas—Capital Filles aims to strengthen its support for high school girls living far from urban centers.

The project seeks to dismantle gender stereotypes, improve access to information, and broaden opportunities through educational workshops adapted to the rural context, a mentoring program led by professional women from partner companies, coaching sessions, career visits, and regional events. The goal is to better support young women in their educational choices and professional integration, taking into account the specific realities of rural territories.

Capital Filles
The association

Founded in 2012 by major companies, including ORANGE, Capital Filles works in high schools to encourage young women from modest backgrounds to consider diverse fields of study and careers, particularly in science and technology. Through a robust network of partner companies and recognition by the French Ministry of Education, the association delivers annual awareness campaigns and a mentoring program pairing volunteer employees with high school girls. Present in all metropolitan school districts and in Réunion, Capital Filles has supported over 42,000 young women in ten years and now aims to expand its model to rural areas to meet the needs of territories with limited guidance resources.
