Project presentation
In France, the situation of women living in priority urban neighborhoods (QPV) has significantly worsened over the past 10 years. Often from immigrant backgrounds, largely excluded from employment or holding precarious jobs, these women face multiple forms of discrimination that hinder their social and professional integration and limit their access to mainstream support services.
In response to this situation, the association Les Ateliers du Féminisme Populaire created the program “Héroïnes en région,” an initiative focused on empowerment and entrepreneurship training for women living in QPV areas. The program has already supported 32 women from Melun (Seine-et-Marne) and Le Mée (Essonne) in developing their professional, associative, or artistic projects. It will now be expanded to three new cities (Bondy and Sevran in Seine-Saint-Denis, and Compiègne in Oise). Through group workshops, mentoring, and company visits, the program enables women to build self-confidence and acquire the tools needed to develop their projects.
