Project presentation
In France in 2019, women represented 3.6% of the prison population, or around 2,500 individuals. This minority presence in prisons makes them largely invisible and leads to a critical lack of budget and resources dedicated to their reintegration.
To support these women, OGFEB is creating the Ferme Emmaüs Baudonne (FEB), a social and professional integration project centered on agroecological market gardening. The women involved will benefit from comprehensive support, including both group workshops to encourage a return to activity and individualized assistance tailored to their needs: administrative procedures, access to rights, mobility, and housing search. This project will provide them with a transitional space between prison and release, helping them relearn daily life. Living together on the farm will enable them to regain autonomy and self-confidence, recover their privacy, and gradually reconnect with their loved ones.
