Empowering young women in tech through BECOMTECH’s Ambassadrices program

Projet soutenu Project supported in 2025 : Empowering Women

Project presentation

In response to the persistent underrepresentation of women in the digital sector—only 28% of professionals and 15% of computer engineers—BECOMTECH works to strengthen the participation of young women from disadvantaged backgrounds in this strategic field.

Through the Ambassadors program, the association provides long-term support to 540 young women aged 15 to 25 who are alumni of the JUMP IN TECH program. The initiative aims to develop digital skills, build self-confidence, and empower participants to act as role models. This comprehensive program combines collective workshops, individual coaching, peer support networks, and public speaking training, within a participatory and inclusive approach. The objective is to foster empowerment, professional integration, and women’s representation in the jobs of the future.

BECOMTECH
The association

Founded in 2017, BECOMTECH is a pioneering association promoting gender diversity in the digital sector. Active in several French regions (Île-de-France, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Pays de la Loire, and PACA), it designs innovative programs for young women from disadvantaged backgrounds to help them access skills and opportunities in tech. The association relies on a strong network of partners (Orange, Lenovo, Adobe, Salesforce, TUMO, Rêv’Elles). In collaboration with Université du Nous, it has developed a participatory governance model involving the Ambassadors themselves, contributing to a sustainable, inclusive, and inspiring vision of tomorrow’s digital society.
