Project presentation
Based within the Specialized Unit for Psychotrauma Support (USAP), AID’ELLES develops innovative body-centered approaches to support women survivors of domestic, sexual, and complex traumatic violence.
Complementing the medical, psychosocial, and legal care pathway provided by USAP, the project offers a range of therapeutic workshops designed to restore self-esteem, emotional regulation, and bodily reconnection. Many beneficiaries experience physical and psychological numbness linked to trauma.
The program includes socio-aesthetic and image coaching workshops, oriental dance and theater sessions, psycho-sensory art therapy combining painting, pottery and hypnotherapy, therapeutic boxing sessions, and an annual one-week surf therapy retreat (USAPOCEAN program).
The initiative relies on a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, a hypnotherapist, psychomotor specialists, specialized educators, and sports professionals. Structured evaluation tools and questionnaires ensure continuous monitoring of participants’ progress.
The project ultimately aims to foster long-term psychosocial recovery, resocialization, and sustainable empowerment of women survivors.
