On International Women’s Rights Day, held on March 8, 2022, in the context of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation is releasing an initial emergency grant dedicated to Ukraine. A first financial contribution of €50,000 has been allocated to the Women’s Rights Center in Poland, which is preparing to assist Ukrainian women refugees.
This year, International Women’s Rights Day holds particular significance considering the war in Ukraine. The Foundation is mobilizing €50,000 in emergency support for Ukraine, with an initial grant provided to the Women’s Rights Center in Poland. Active in seven Polish cities, this organization supports Ukrainian refugee women by offering comprehensive assistance — including the distribution of essential goods, psychological and legal support, a helpline, temporary accommodation, and Polish language courses.
In the coming weeks, the Foundation will also provide financial assistance to additional organizations supporting women in countries bordering Ukraine.
