MicroDON (payroll giving) enables support for associations backed by the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation. Each month, RAJA Group employees can donate the cents from their salaries and make an additional contribution of €1 to €50. These monthly donations are then matched by the RAJA Group.

The funds collected are distributed annually to two associations selected by participating donors. On average, RAJA Group employees contribute €3.90 per month. For the 2021/2022 fundraising cycle, €6,463 was raised, doubled by the RAJA Group to reach €12,926, enabling a grant of €6,463 for each of the two chosen associations. Donors voted to select two remarkable projects: one in France, and one internationally.

For the 2022 RAJApeople France Award, the winning association is the Refugee Women’s Centre.

The Refugee Women’s Centre supports migrant women living in the camps of Calais and Grande-Synthe, as well as their children, by providing material, medical, and psychological assistance. In May, the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation team met the Refugee Women’s Centre team in Calais and was impressed by the significant work undertaken by members and volunteers for women and families.

For the 2022 RAJApeople International Award, the winning association is BATIK International.

BATIK International supports women victims of violence in Vietnam and has set up a helpline for women experiencing violence and conducts awareness-raising activities among student groups, encouraging them to initiate their own projects to combat such violence. BATIK International had previously won a RAJA Women’s Award in 2018 for its project “Helping migrant women workers to gain recognition of their rights in Vietnam.”

Congratulations to both associations for their actions!
