From June 9 to 20, the micro-donors of the RAJA Group cast their votes to select the two recipients of the RAJAPeople Awards 2023.
Since 2013, RAJA Group employees have had the opportunity to get involved by supporting the partner associations of the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation. Through the microDON initiative, employees can round down their monthly salary to the nearest euro and contribute an additional donation of their choice. All amounts collected over the year are matched by RAJA.
Each year, micro-donors choose the two winning organizations that receive the funds collected through the RAJAPeople Awards. In 2023, a total of €17,716 was raised. These funds will be distributed equally between the two associations selected by employees.

The RAJAPeople France Award 2023 has been granted to Association Guyanaise d’Aide aux Victimes, AGAV (Guyanese Association for Victim Support)

French Guiana has the highest rate of women victims of domestic violence in France as of 2021. The region is characterized by its vast territory, low population density, and widespread socio-economic insecurity, with half of its inhabitants living below the poverty line.
To address this situation, the Association Guyanaise d’Aide aux Victimes (Guyanese Association for Victim Support) provides comprehensive psychological, social, and legal assistance to victims in 15 of the region’s 22 municipalities. The organization also runs mobile support units, operates a daytime reception center, and carries out awareness-raising activities among young people on gender equality, women’s rights, and sexual education.

The RAJAPeople International Award 2023 has been granted to the association Un Enfant par la Main (A Child by the Hand).

South Asia, and particularly India, faces an alarming number of child marriages, accounting for 44% of all cases worldwide.
Un Enfant par la Main (A Child by the Hand), in partnership with ChildFund India, is implementing a program in Rajasthan to combat this practice, one of the regions most affected by early marriage. The project aims to support 1,000 girls from marginalized communities by promoting their personal development and ensuring equitable access to education and economic opportunities.
