Projet soutenu Project supported in 2025 : Empowering Women

Project presentation

In rural areas, women survivors of domestic violence face a double form of isolation: distance from support services and persistent taboos surrounding violence. To provide a safe space for recovery and rebuilding, the Moulin de Pont-Rû association, based in the heart of the Vexin region, has been supporting vulnerable women since 2018 through immersive stays designed to foster resilience and autonomy.

In 2025, MDPR aims to further develop its day-care services, offering psychological, social, and legal support, and to roll out a training program for rural actors seeking to create similar immersive support initiatives. The project responds to an urgent need for tailored support in rural territories while disseminating a proven, human-centered methodology.

The association

Founded in 2018 in Bray-et-Lû, within the Vexin Regional Natural Park, Moulin de Pont-Rû (MDPR) is a social third place dedicated to recovery, solidarity, and ecology. The association supports women survivors of violence through immersive stays and day-care services, while fostering social ties and knowledge sharing. With a team of 18 staff members and a budget of €1.25 million, MDPR has become a key actor in combating violence against women in rural areas. In the long term, the organization aims to open 50 accommodation places to provide comprehensive and unconditional support to women and their children.
