Project presentation

In France, nearly one in ten women experiences intimate partner violence, and one in seven young women under the age of 25 is affected. Yet many do not seek help, as they do not always identify themselves as victims.

In France’s overseas territories (DROM), where rates of intimate partner violence are seven times higher than in mainland France, additional barriers hinder access to support. Insularity, limited public services, restricted mobility and the lack of anonymity make it even more difficult for women to seek assistance.

To address these challenges, En avant toute(s) is strengthening the accessibility of its free and anonymous online chat platform, which complements the national 3919 helpline. In response to a significant increase in demand since the health crisis, the organisation is expanding its opening hours—particularly in the evenings and with consideration for the time differences in overseas territories—and rolling out a targeted communication campaign in these regions to increase awareness of available listening and referral services.
