Project presentation

In 2024, the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation joined forces with the Hippocrène Foundation as part of the Inspiring Young Europeans Prize, supporting the Gender Equality Award. This initiative aims to promote a more inclusive Europe by highlighting projects led by young people committed to women’s rights.

The 2024 winning project, Menstrual Education Network, led by the association Règles Élémentaires, combats period poverty and fosters a better understanding of menstruation among young Europeans. Its goal is to dismantle stereotypes surrounding menstruation while strengthening gender equality and empowering youth through the creation of an educational network.

The project takes on a European dimension through cooperation between associations in Belgium and North Macedonia, enabling the co-creation and dissemination of educational tools adapted to the social realities of different countries. It will unfold in several stages: a knowledge-sharing exchange in Paris in October 2024, the creation of educational tools with youth groups from January to March 2025, and a closing event in Brussels accompanied by a European communication strategy.

Through this initiative, the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation reaffirms its belief that youth engagement is a key lever in defending women’s rights and advancing gender equality across Europe.
