Project presentation

Supporting women who are victims of violence is a complex process that requires a comprehensive understanding of their needs. Throughout the journey of escaping violence, housing is a crucial issue. Many women cannot flee their homes, where most of the violence occurs. Young women, who are overexposed to violent situations and precarious conditions, represent a particularly vulnerable and high-priority group.

To offer these young women—often living in precarious or unstable conditions—a complete pathway toward recovery in a supportive environment, the Maison des Femmes de Saint-Denis launched the “Mon Palier” project. The project aims to provide young women victims of violence with a place to stay for the duration necessary for their recovery. Residents will also have access to the care programs offered by the Maison des Femmes (MDF) of Saint-Denis.

The association

“La Maison des femmes de Saint-Denis” (MDF) aims to support, promote, and develop the activities of the “Maison des Femmes” unit of the Delafontaine Hospital Center (MDF CHSD), whose mission is to provide care and assistance to vulnerable women or victims of violence. The association is also tasked with promoting the development in France and Europe of structures pursuing similar missions and operational approaches as those of the MDF CHSD.
