Maison Simone Veil: Comprehensive and safe support for women survivors of violence in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence

Projet soutenu Project supported in 2025 : Empowering Women

Project presentation

Facing widespread violence against women and a lack of adequate local responses, CIDFF 04 opened the Maison Simone Veil in Manosque, the first dedicated center for reception, listening, and support for women victims of violence.

The project provides a global pathway—legal, psychological, social, and therapeutic—to secure emergency situations, refer to specialized care, and support women’s reconstruction. It relies on a multidisciplinary team, therapeutic collective workshops, enhanced legal assistance, and a strong territorial network for sustainable, tailored support. In complement with the hospital-based women’s house, it ensures specialized healthcare for comprehensive violence management.

The association

CIDFF 04, part of the national CIDFF Federation, has long provided general-interest services to inform, support, and protect women, especially victims of violence. The association operates across the department with a team of 16 professionals trained in intrafamily violence management, offering legal, psychosocial, and socio-professional support, awareness campaigns, and day-care services. Since 2008, it manages the departmental service dedicated to women victims of violence under the trust of local authorities, including the Prefecture.
