Project presentation
Facing the isolation of women in rural areas and the overrepresentation of femicides in these regions, Paroles de Femmes, in partnership with Du Côté Des Femmes de Haute Garonne and Du Côté Des Femmes à Pau, is strengthening its action by recruiting and training rural relays.
These relays, rooted in their communities, provide essential information on violence against women, guide victims to support services, and raise awareness of the 3919 helpline. They receive specialized training and practical tools (flyers, violentometers, stickers) and take part in awareness campaigns, particularly around November 25 and March 8, as well as local initiatives such as distributing bread bags with emergency numbers.
The project aims to train 200 rural relays over two years, reaching the most isolated areas and breaking the isolation of women experiencing violence. Regular support and exchange sessions are organized to assist the relays and share best practices, while Paroles de Femmes coordinates the project and oversees its evaluation to ensure impact and sustainability.
