2023 Sustainable Solutions Barometer
12 June 2023The RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation is a partner of the 6th edition of the Sustainable Solutions Barometer, titled “Gender Equality Worldwide: Diversity of Pathways, Shifting Perceptions.” The Barometer provides an overview of the current state of gender equality and highlights concrete solutions implemented by sustainable development actors, as well as actions needed to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This edition also explores how perceptions of gender equality are evolving, offering insight to all actors committed daily to building a more just and equitable society.


Key Findings from the Report
- Half of the global population still believes that when jobs are scarce, men should have priority over women.
- 75% of people in France consider the fight against gender inequality a moral imperative.
- 70% of women surveyed in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States believe that the extent of discrimination and violence against women remains underestimated.
- Globally, 43.5% of parliamentary seats were held by women in 2021, compared to 38% in 2015.
- One in three adolescent girls from the world’s poorest households has never attended school.
- Worldwide, only 10% of domestic workers have access to any form of social protection.
