On the occasion of November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation organized several mobilization and awareness activities. Exceptional support of 40,000 euros was provided to specialized associations working throughout Europe.
From November 20th to 30th, coinciding with November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, employees of the RAJA Group mobilized for a major “pedometer operation”.
To reach the goal of 50 million steps, several group walks were organized at the RAJA Group headquarters in Tremblay-en-France and in European subsidiaries. Together, the Group’s employees accumulated a total of 63 million steps. Thanks to this collective effort, 40,000 euros will be donated by the foundation to 30 associations committed to fighting gender-based violence in Europe.
On Saturday, November 25th, the foundation and the RAJA Group participated in the feminist demonstration against violence towards women in Paris, organized by a collective of associations. The march took place from Nation to République, with Danièle Kapel-Marcovici, Founder and President of the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation and CEO of the RAJA Group, in attendance.
The RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation stood alongside director Hélène Trigueros for the first screening of her latest documentary “La Réparation, une psy au commissariat,” produced by Slow Production and supported by the foundation. This film reveals the journey of support and care for victims of domestic violence, helping them to rebuild and take back control of their lives. A screening was also organized at the RAJA Group headquarters in Tremblay-en-France.
To conclude, Richard Matis, President of the Gynécologie sans Frontières association, led a roundtable discussion at the RAJA headquarters on the topic of femicides, aimed at raising awareness among the RAJA employees.
