A fund to support associations working in emergency situations

The RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation Emergency Fund was created to support associations working in crisis situations — armed conflicts, natural disasters, forced displacement, political or social repression — that seriously affect the rights and living conditions of women and girls. It provides support to organizations working in the field to guarantee the rights of vulnerable women affected by humanitarian or social crises.

In order for your application to be considered by the Foundation, your project must meet the following criteria:

  • Be led by a French non-profit organization (association loi 1901) that is actively involved in France (the French administrative offices of foreign associations are not eligible), unless an express exemption is obtained from the Foundation prior to submitting the project. Projects supported abroad are generally led by a French association in partnership with a local organization; direct funding of foreign associations remains exceptional.

  • The project must provide immediate assistance to women and/or girls affected by a humanitarian, political, or environmental crisis.

Before submitting an application and in order to verify your project’s eligibility, please contact the Foundation and send the essential information about your project to the following email address: fondation@raja.fr

The information provided will enable the Foundation to analyze your application and determine whether it is eligible for support.

Average amount granted: €15,000
