Project presentation
The city of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is home to both an emerging middle class driven by the country’s economic growth and a highly marginalized population lacking resources and qualifications. This situation of exclusion is particularly concerning for young women from rural provinces north of Hanoi, who, upon arriving in the city, often live in precarious and dangerous conditions, including homelessness and prostitution.
In 2018, the organization LP4Y decided to dedicate its Life Project Center in Hanoi to training around thirty young women each year. Hosted throughout the nine-month program, they benefit from a support system based on hands-on entrepreneurial experience, enabling them to acquire the soft and hard skills needed to secure decent employment and break the cycle of poverty permanently.
This program allows these young women to move out of extreme poverty and develop a professional project within a safe and supportive environment.
