Projet soutenu Project supported in 2025 and 2026 : Empowering Women

Project presentation

In the marginalized neighborhoods of Khor and Paldi Meena in Jaipur, where poverty, isolation, and patriarchal norms strongly limit women’s rights, ATIA implements an empowerment program to enhance autonomy and access to essential services.

Through an eight-month individualized support program and creation of support groups, women set personal goals, protect themselves against violence, assert their rights, and develop social, familial, and administrative skills. The initiative relies on a participatory methodology, rigorous follow-up, and active connections with public services to promote sustainable changes in daily life.

ATIA
The association

Founded in 2008, ATIA operates in four countries to improve living conditions of vulnerable populations, focusing on health, autonomy, and social development. In India, ATIA partners with the local NGO Lok Seva Sangam (LSS) to support women in disadvantaged neighborhoods, combining individual social work, collective dynamics, access to rights, and mobilization of public services. Recognized methodological tools, such as the “family photo” and an empowerment scale, are used to make women active participants in their own transformation.
