Project presentation

In Kakuma refugee camp, home to nearly 300,000 people living in extreme precarity exacerbated by reduced humanitarian aid, women face particularly limited economic opportunities. Konexio, in partnership with JRS, implements a training program in digital skills and freelancing to enable refugee women to enter the online labor market.

The program combines training for local trainers, intensive digital tool learning, guidance toward paid assignments, and administrative support. The objective is to provide participants with a stable income, sustainable financial independence, and enhanced inclusion in a sector that remains largely male-dominated.
