Project presentation
In Lille (Hauts-de-France), located along migration routes between France and the United Kingdom, many vulnerable women live in constant urgency—seeking shelter, food, and ways to overcome the administrative, cultural and geographical barriers they face. As a result, access to healthcare becomes a secondary concern, forcing many women to neglect their health altogether.

In response to this situation, since 2019 the NGO Agir pour la santé des femmes (ADSF) has been conducting outreach actions through mobile teams made up of healthcare professionals (midwives, psychologists and social workers). These teams actively reach out to women to assess their health status, provide information and guide them towards the mainstream healthcare system.
Consultations take place in the “Frottis Truck”, a specially equipped vehicle designed to welcome women in a safe, private and confidential environment, where they can receive nursing care and specific screenings (cervical smear tests, STI and HIV screening). ADSF also organises weekly drop-in clinics during which professionals design tailored care pathways for each woman and refer them to partner organisations.
