A conference on the history of feminism One of the highlights of the week was a conference led by Julie Marangé, founder of Feminists in the City. She retraced the history of the feminist movement—from its origins to contemporary struggles—highlighting the key figures and milestones that have shaped this universal fight for equality. The presentation was accompanied by a video testimony from Claudine Monteil, writer, historian, and former French diplomat specializing in women’s rights. A close associate of Simone de Beauvoir, Claudine Monteil spoke about her journey and lifelong commitment, as one of the pioneers of the feminist movement in France and an author dedicated to exploring Beauvoir’s legacy and the history of feminism. |

For each participant, €10 was donated to this organization, which works in Afghanistan to enable young girls to continue their education through clandestine classes. This symbolic event reflects the deep solidarity that unites RAJA Group employees with the Foundation’s mission. |

Creativity and shared moments Creative workshops offered employees another opportunity to get involved. Floral arrangement workshops, led by women enrolled in social reintegration programs at Le Chemin des Fleurs—an association supported by the Foundation—provided a warm and meaningful moment of exchange. These workshops showcased an activity that promotes women’s professional reintegration through organic horticulture. Each participant was able to create a beautiful bouquet and leave with their floral composition. |

Closing event with Danièle Marcovici and Lucile Peytavin The week concluded with a key moment attended by Danièle Marcovici, Chair and CEO of the RAJA Group and President of the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation. On this occasion, she spoke about the persistence of violence against women and the rise of anti-equality rhetoric, while reaffirming the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to defending women’s rights. She also presented the 2025 Annual Report, highlighting the initiatives carried out alongside partner organizations to protect, support, and empower women across the globe. Danièle Marcovici then welcomed Lucile Peytavin, feminist historian and essayist, author of Le Coût de la virilité (“The Cost of Virility”), which sheds light on the social and economic impacts of male violence on society. The meeting concluded with a book signing session, during which all participants received a copy of her book. |
