Education & Social Action
Equality will only be achieved when women and men have equal access to education, resources, and quality jobs.
— Isabelle Rome, member of the Executive Committee and former minister
Education is a fundamental pillar of gender equality, and access to it is essential for women’s autonomy, freedom, and independence. Furthermore, school is also a key factor in combating gender stereotypes and fighting gender-based and sexual violence. It enables girls to fully exercise their rights and break the cycles of dependence and vulnerability that exist within societies.
However, access to school remains highly unequal for many girls around the world today and constitutes a major contemporary development challenge.
The RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation supports projects that:
improve access to education for girls in high-risk or vulnerable areas.
encourage young women to pursue studies or careers in science, technology, or positions of responsibility.
assist women in precarious situations (migrants, single mothers) in pursuing secondary education.
