Today marks the beginning of the Generation Equality Forum, organized by UN Women and co-chaired by France and Mexico. This is a historic moment that follows the last World Conference on Women held in 1995 in Beijing, which resulted in the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, the most visionary program on girls' and women's rights.
It is time to act and the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation supports the concrete and ambitious actions that will be launched in the framework of the Generation Equality Forum.
We invite you to follow this Forum, which takes place between June 30 and July 2, in real time:
>> The opening ceremony takes place today from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, Paris time. A highlight of the Forum, the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, will welcome prestigious guests such as Mexican President Manuel López Obrador, UN Women Executive Director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris; and women’s rights advocate Hillary Clinton.
