The association ANAK Aide aux enfants d’Indonésie is proposing an empowerment project for young girls living in their home in Dharma City, Bali. While the south of the island benefits from the attractiveness of tourism, the north and east of the island are home to much more precarious populations whose situation does not allow their children to attend school.

In addition, the weight of tradition weighs heavily on the shoulders of girls and women, and many are married at an early age and are expected to look after the home and children exclusively.

With the support of the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation, ANAK set up a home for young girls in 2018. The association wishes to deepen its activities and offer the 48 girls living there a real path to autonomy with intensive English courses, the setting up of an organic mini-farm, entrepreneurship workshops and professional training.

48girls who benefited from the project
8hours per week of English and 7 to 8 hours ofbaking or sewing classes
